There are 6 codes found in the Klue’s Nightmares and her Dream post on the Investigation Blog. Normally there are only 3 codes found but there are 3 codes found in the image which was recycled from November 2014. 1, 2, and 3 are found in the source code; 4, 5, and 6 were found in the image.
The code starts with an m, which could possibly lead it toward a Base64 decoding, but looking at the number of characters (30, or 27 excluding periods) it might not work. ROT-2 gives us a
two at the end.
The words six, eight, three, and two appear when the code is ROT against those numbers. Taking out those specific pieces:
There are 25 characters in the code, which can give us a nice 5×5 square to look at.
Reading down and to the left from the top-right corner gives us:
six near the end of the code which can be substituted for 3 and 6 respectively. There is nothing at the beginning of the code though but there is an
Grouping them into 3’s:
hrx not zni ter mat six vmm thr
And reversing each set of 3:
xrh ton inz ret tam xis mmv rht
And reversing the whole string:
f5q0sfwpsqnj6ceg4 (top section of hair)
The code is in the right format if it were reversed but the 0 is a bit off.
Apply ROT – -1 (ROT negative 1):
And reverse the code:
5pnh31.34ga7a8b (middle of the right edge)
The code has the proper format but
1.34g is not a valid keyword. The reverse:
g43.1, however, shows results for Migraine with aura.
Reverse the prefix, keyword portion, and suffix:
Substitute g43.1 with aura
(bottom section of hair)
Code is still live at the time of this writing.
